Montecastrese Castle 800 years later (1225-2025)The Civic Archaeological Museum of Camaiore, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days and in collaboration with the Camaiore Archaeological Group and the Edunarche Association, invites you to an exciting walking itinerary from Badia to Montecastrese Castle with a hiking guide, a concert of medieval music and a theatrical performance on the occasion of the eight hundredth anniversary of the attack on the castle with the show "Virginia's Dream" by the Animateamus theatre company.Complete programme:📅 Date: Sunday 28 September🕘 Departure time: 9.00 am from the Badia a Camaiore car park. Expected return at 5:30/6:00 pm.For those who want to come to the closest point by car, we recommend parking along the road to Metato in the Le Bore area. At this point, wait for the guide to arrive around 10:15 am and take the path to Montecastrese.🚶 11:00 am guided tour of the archaeological area of the castle by the Civic Archaeological Museum and Edunarche.🥪 Followed by a tasting of medieval recipes with a free donation by the Camaiore Archaeological Group.
